IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS POLICY, DO NOT USE EVENTSPOT
‍

Eventspot is committed to protecting the privacy of your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we safeguard it.

We also encourage you to review our Terms of Use before using Eventspot.
‍

What Information We Collect

We collect two main categories of information:

  • Host/User Information: This includes data you provide to create an Eventspot account, such as, but not limited to, your name, email address, company name, and how you plan to use Eventspot.
  • App Usage Information: We collect data about your interactions with our platform to improve it and personalize your experience. This may include information such as, but not limited to, features used, pages visited, and device data.

Information Collected Through Event Apps

Event organizers using Eventspot can collect information about attendees through their event apps or web apps. This attendee data may include, but is not limited to, names, email addresses, dietary restrictions, or other details relevant to the event. Eventspot acts as a processor for this data; the event organizer who created the app is the data controller.
‍

How We Use Your Information:
‍

We use your information responsibly to:

  • Improve Eventspot's features and functionality.
  • Provide core functionalities for building event apps.
  • Ensure the security of both your information and our platform.
  • Communicate with you directly about your account, services, and support inquiries.
  • Send occasional emails about new features or updates (with an opt-out option) - Only applicable to Hosts and not attendees.

We never share, sell, rent, or misuse your information for commercial purposes. You can request removal of your information through our Contact page.
‍

Your GDPR Rights (if applicable)

Eventspot operates under the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This regulation distinguishes between two types of organizations that handle personal data:

  • Data Controllers: These organizations determine how personal data is used and are primarily responsible for its protection.
  • Data Processors: These organizations process personal data on behalf of data controllers.

Who Controls The Attendee Event Data?

When your attendees attend an event built with Eventspot, the event organizer is typically the data controller. This means they decide what information is collected through the event app and how it's used. Eventspot acts as a data processor, providing the tools and platform for the organizer to manage the event and attendee data.
‍

Third-Party Data Sharing

We may share your data with third-party service providers who help us operate Eventspot. These providers are only authorized to use your data for the specific services they perform on our behalf. We never share your data with anyone who doesn't use Eventspot or who doesn't have a strict obligation to protect your privacy.
‍

Eventspot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention

We store your data for as long as your Eventspot account is active or as needed to provide our services. We may also retain data for legal or business purposes, but only for the minimum time necessary. Event organizers can choose to delete attendee information at any time.
‍

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are tiny internet files that live in your browser. We use cookies to personalize your website visits, to “remember” your preferences, and to “recognize” you on subsequent visits, providing greater personalization. If you do not want this, you can easily clear all cookies from your browser.
