How to Apply Percentage and Amount Based Promo Codes

Promo codes are created on a percentage basis or a flat rate. Percentage and Amount-Based Promo Codes are both popular. You have to choose the deciding factor that would enhance the excitement of your users.

• Access the Eventspot Admin Panel at / and navigate to Tickets >> Promo Discount> Create Discount 

• When you click on “Create Discount, a pop-up window will appear like this. 

🔺Fill in all the details as required. 

• Enter Code Name, that is, the coupon code that the users will put to get discounts. 

• Then, go to Code Type and select the type of discount - Percentage / Amount.

ℹ️ Percentage will be calculated on order total or a fixed amount will be deducted for type Amount.

• Enter the Amount Off you want to offer depending on your Code Type selection.

For example, your amount off is 5. Go to the tickets page and select any paid ticket. 

• Click on the Have promo code option. Enter the promo code manually and click on the Apply button.

🔺For Percentage

Total order value is : 10 USD

Promo Discount : 5%

Users need to pay

{10-(10/100*5)} USD = (10-0.5) USD = 9.5 USD

🔺For Amount

Total order value is : 10 USD

Promo Discount : 5 USD flat

Users need to pay (10-5) = 5 USD

ℹ️ If you want to remove the applied promo code just click on the “remove” button and the promo code will not be applied.
