Step 16: If overwriting, choose whether to override blank fields

If you selected Overwrite, you will be asked whether blank fields in your import file should overwrite existing data. Choose carefully — selecting Yes means empty cells in your file will clear existing data for those fields.

Tips for Managing Contacts Effectively

  • Always ensure that email addresses are valid and correctly entered, as they serve as the unique identifier for each contact and are essential for successful campaign delivery.
  • Organize your contacts into appropriate lists from the beginning so you can easily target the right audience when sending campaigns.
  • Maintain clean and consistent data by avoiding duplicates, using proper formatting, and regularly updating outdated contact information.
  • Use the provided import template when uploading contacts in bulk to ensure your file format and column structure match the system requirements.
  • Be careful when handling duplicate contacts during import by selecting the appropriate option based on whether you want to retain or update existing data.
  • Take time to accurately map your file columns to the correct contact fields during import to prevent misplaced or incorrect data.
  • Add additional details such as company, role, or other relevant information to enable better personalization in your campaigns.
  • Use the search and filter features to quickly find and manage contacts, especially as your database grows larger.
  • Regularly export and back up your contact data to prevent accidental loss and to keep a secure copy of your database.
  • Review your contact lists before sending any campaign to ensure that the right audience is selected and no unintended recipients are included.
